I'm working as C# backend developer where we specialize in sustainable shipping. My role focuses on developing software solutions that can be used by every kind of vessel to promote greener and more sustainable shipping while still saving costs.
My primary focus has been planning, specifying and developing our cloud solution together with external consultants. Furthermore, I have been conducting usability tests and feedback with customers, advising in general software strategy as well as supervising becoming GDPR/privacy compliant.
I have been a teaching assistant in the fall semester in the course, Business processes and Organisation with project. My role was to supervise the students with their projects, which were done with companies of all shapes and sizes. Furthermore, I helped them along with their understanding of the course material with various exercises and hand-ins. The material consists of project management, participatory IT design and ethnography, and the project itself is doing a feasibility study with a business case. The techniques we used takes several aspects as business strategy, risks and cost-benefit among others into account as well as user participation to help achieve the best solution for the company. I chose this TA job, because I think the message of having participatory IT design is crucial for every company needing of an IT solution. Besides that I really enjoyed teaching and supervising the projects and it was both rewarding, challenging and exciting to see different challenges within various companies.
The projects I have worked with have been in various areas from internal to external software both in frontend and backend, but all mostly coded in Go. I have made these projects among others: customer and user segmentation by data collection, analysis and visualization, integration between software components, backend components for the Cloud services as well as designing, analysing and making a support center for ABC Softwork's customers.
As an intro tutor, I have been in charge of welcoming the new students to the university. The job consist of planning the intro week with guest lecturers, intro projects related to software development, social get-together events and much more.
Café Analog is a non-profit coffee shop that focuses on good and cheap coffee and hot drinks. It's driven by volunteer students and staff at the IT University and supply coffee for both professors, researchers and students at the university. Being a barista to me means providing good quality coffee as well as creating a relaxed and easy going atmosphere for people to enjoy. As a board member, I was responsible for enforcement and execution of Café Analog's values and policies as well as cooperation between other organizations within the IT University.
